We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team and deliver key programmes of work to help prevent Type 2 diabetes. You will have excellent public health knowledge and professional experience, strong communications skills and a proven ability to drive forward multi-stakeholder collaborations to improve health. The Healthy Behaviour Lead is responsible for delivering our high profile strategic project: Healthy Lifestyle and Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes and for bringing together diverse external organisations to galvanise sustainable, collective action to successfully deliver a whole-system approach to preventing the condition. The post holder will also work closely with our Policy team to support areas of our work in public health, such as engagement with local authorities and national organisations to improve diabetes prevention and care.
This position requires a high performer who is able to think in terms of impact, cost and added value. Outcome and delivery focused with excellent decision-making skills, you will be a senior manager. Evidence of being able to harness efforts across organisations and manage multi-organisational projects is a must, as is demonstrable negotiation and influencing skills. An engaging personality who has experience of working at a senior level in a health-related environment is desirable. You will also manage a small team that is responsible for increasing the reach of our Diabetes UK Type 2 diabetes awareness training and risk assessments. This role also requires independent working, so you must be able to show self-sustaining work practices.
