Medical device alert over blood glucose meters

If you are using any of the following blood glucose meters AND are having peritoneal dialysis or are taking immunoglobulin preparations before and after surgery, then please contact your GP.
This is because there is a risk of overestimation of blood glucose results.
The meters concerned are:
- Roche’s Accu-chek
- Roche’s Glucotrend
- Abbott Diabetes Care’s Freestyle.
