There are six awards that abstracts may be eligible for.
Abstracts automatically enter in the following award(s) using the 'Award criteria' section of the submission form.
Abstracts can be considered for more than one award as long as they are eligible for entry.
All eligible abstracts are anonymously reviewed by a panel of markers invited by the Conference Organising Committee for shortlisting. A panel of judges invited by the Conference Organising Committee judges the presentations at the conference.
Shortlisted oral presentations are judged at the specific oral session for that award.
Shortlisted poster presentations are clearly marked with a rosette.
Awards ceremony
All award winners were announced by the Chair of Diabetes UK at the Awards ceremony at 11.15am on the Friday of the conference (13 March 2009).
