Why do people attend the APC?

Using evaluation form feedback**, it is clear that delegates feel the APC provides them with an ideal opportunity to further develop and update their knowledge in the field of diabetes and also to network with colleagues. This is as much visiting exhibitors as attending sessions, including both oral and poster abstract presentations.

The APC provides an ideal vehicle for the education of healthcare professionals, while also encouraging the advancement of professional development.

Comments received from delegates about reasons for attendance include:

  • 'To be updated on clinical practice and to hear new research findings.'
  • 'To increase my knowledge of diabetes and improve patient care.'
  • 'To find out the most recent advances in diabetes (medication and equipment).'
