Stella Vig is a Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital, Croydon appointed in 2006 and St Georges Hospital. She qualified from the University of Wales Medical School in 1991, with an intercalated BSc in Biochemistry (1988) and gained FRCS in 1994. She completed her MCh under Professor John Dormandy at St Georges Hospital in 2004.
Her research and vascular interests include peripheral vascular disease, management of diabetic foot complications, thrombophilia, wound care and risk factor management.
She has an interest in training both at undergraduate and post graduate levels as well as multidisciplinary learning. She is a Foundation Training Programme Director at Croydon and is also South West London LEP Core and Higher Surgical Training Programme Director. She is the chair for the London Diabetic Foot Network. She is member of the Diabetes UK Putting Feet First Task Force and the London Diabetes Strategic Clinical Network.
