Inject some energy into 2013
Following on from our celebration of 90 years of insulin in 2012, we launched our 90 campaign, encouraging people to take up the challenge of undertaking a new activity for 90 minutes each week for a month. Today the number of people with diabetes is even greater and we want to start the next 90 years by encouraging everyone to inject some energy into 2013 by taking up the 90 minute Challenge.
Challenge to do 90 minutes of activity each week for one month in 2013.

Inject some energy into 2012
To celebrate 90 years since the discovery of insulin, Diabetes UK is laying down the gauntlet with a 90 Minute Challenge, aimed at raising funds to continue research in to a future free of diabetes. The challenge is to commit to 90 minutes of a new activity each week for a month.
Today the number of people with diabetes is even greater and we want to start the next 90 years by encouraging everyone to inject some energy into 2012 by taking up the 90 Minute Challenge.

Isle of Arran
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Please note the original date for Bike n Hike has had to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances - it is now rescheduled to Saturday, August 17th, 2013 (original date June 22nd).
The decision to move the event was taken due to extensive road repairs being carried out on a section of the planned route for the 55 mile cycle around Arran. These repairs are necessary following extreme weather on the island earlier in the year.
***
Come challenge yourself, friends or workmates, and be part of the action in the 2013 Arran Bike'n’Hike Challenge. Cycle 55 miles around the beautiful Isle of Arran, then, if you’re really up for a challenge, you can choose to climb the island's highest peak, Goat Fell, at 2867ft.
This is a unique event organised by GE Caledonian volunteers in aid of Diabetes UK Scotland, and funds raised from this event will go to support children's holidays.
Sign up now for the Arran Bike'n'Hike Challenge.
