The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) World Diabetes Congress brings together the whole diabetes community, attracting over 12,000 scientists, health professionals, health ministers, policy makers, industry, media, and people with diabetes. The meeting provides a global platform to share knowledge, the results of the leading scientific advances and practical aspects related to diabetes care, education and advocacy.

Over 350 speakers and 70 exhibitors will be given the platform to showcase their diabetes expertise, research and breakthroughs in the field of diabetes. Participants include physicians, scientists, nurses, educators, endocrinologists, diabetologists, research scientists and other healthcare professionals, as well as government representatives, policy makers, people with diabetes, representatives from IDF member associations and members of the press.

The biennial event will focus on a strong scientific program combined with debates, teaching lectures, workshops and presentations on the latest trends and discoveries in the field of diabetes.

Other related activities, including satellite symposia, exhibitions and affiliated events, will contribute to an exceptional opportunity for professional development and networking.

Beyond scientific research, the event will also strengthen the global diabetes community and link the work of member associations, people with diabetes, and health professionals to global advocacy to improve the lives of people with diabetes.

The World Diabetes Congress, organized in partnership with Diabetes Australia, is regarded as the largest event of its kind for the diabetes field. It is expected to attract more than 12,000 delegates and will have 4,000 m2 available for exhibitors.
