Join the Diabetes UK running team and make a real difference to research, campaigning and the lives of people living with the condition.

Rated as the fastest marathon in the UK by Runner's World magazine, the Edinburgh Marathon is a great course if you’re looking for a good finishing time or a personal best.

You can choose between the full or half marathon, 10k, or share the distance with friends, family or colleagues and run the Hairy Haggis Relay.

Terms & conditions of entry:


By filling out this registration form for the 2014 Edinburgh Marathon, Half Marathon or 10k, you are guaranteeing to raise a minimum of £500 for the marathon, £250 for the half marathon or £120 for the 10k.


Applicants will be required to pay an entry fee of £40 for the full marathon,  £20 for the half marathon or £10 for the 10k, to secure their place. Upon submitting this online form, applicants should send a cheque or postal order made out to "Diabetes UK Scotland" to: The Fundraising Team, Diabetes UK Scotland, The Venlaw, 349 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4AA indicating their full name and address. Alternatively, applicants can call the Fundraising Team on 0141 245 6380 during working hours to pay by credit or debit card. Entry fees should be paid no later than five working days after submitting the online form in order to secure a place.

 

        If you are not using an online donation page (such as Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving), you must send your minimum sponsorship amount to Diabetes UK Scotland by 31st August 2014.

 

        You must be at least 18 years old on the date of the event to take part.


If, for any reason, you are unable to take part in the event, you should contact Diabetes UK Scotland to inform them of this no later than Friday, March 18th, 2014 to avoid cost to the charity. If you do not contact the charity prior to this date, and do not take part in the event without a reasonable explanation, you will be expected to reimburse the fee paid by Diabetes UK Scotland to purchase your place.

 

        You confirm that to the best of your knowledge, your general state of health and fitness is good and you take full responsibility for your ability to take part. If you have not exercised for some time, you should consult your doctor for a check up and abide by any advice given. We advise that you train for the event and prepare for your challenge.
