Information

The Erewash Triathlon is aimed people who have always wanted to try this exciting sport and challenge themselves to complete within a competitive environment.This event is open to anyone aged 15 years and older (on 31st December 2013) and attracts a range of abilites from complete novice to seasoned competitor.

The event comprises of a 400m indoor swim, followed by a 10 mile bike ride on quiet roads and then a 4km run through parkland pathways. Participants compete against the clock and each other to complete a distance, there is staggered start so no worries about a mad rush or bottlenecks around the course.

The Erewash Triathlon is based at West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton which has changing rooms and shower facilities as well as food and refreshments available.

Registration

There are a number of options for taking part in this event. You can apply for one of our limited charity places which gives discounted entry to the event, enter as an individual online or enter as a team of 3 through Erewash borough council.

Charity Places

To be considered for a discounted individual charity place, please contact Diabetes UK Midlands office at midlands@diabetes.org.uk or call 01922 614500. These places are priced at £25 per person and we ask that participants raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.

Own Place - Individual Entry

Individual places can be applied for online here or a paper form can be downloaded from the Erewash Borough Council website or requested by e-mail: triathlon@erewash.gov.uk or telephone 0115 907 2244 ext 4328 / 4329 / 4314. 

Places cost £36.05 for non BTA members and £30.90 for BTA members. This fee is payable directly to Erewash Bororugh Council and goes towards staging the event. We do ask that all participants try to raise as much sponsorship as possible for Diabetes UK.

Team Place

Teams of 3 can enter the Triathlon at a cost of £72.10 and forms can be obtained from the Erewash Borough Council website or requested by e-mail: triathlon@erewash.gov.uk or telephone 0115 907 2244 ext 4328 / 4329 / 4314.
