The Sunlight Colourthon
The Sunlight Colourthon is a special event for children under the age of 16 and anyone who feels that the Twilight or Moonlight Colourthon's are perhaps a step too far!
The Sunlight Walk takes place around the picturesque Rose Gardens within Chalkwell Park. These beautiful gardens provide a safe environment and a lovely flat and even walking surface easily accessible for everyone.
The Sunlight Colourthon challenge is to complete as many laps of the circuit as possible between 3pm and 5pm, each circuit is approximately 0.25 Miles.
The Moonlight Colourthon
This half marathon walk is open to over-16s and takes place at night with all walkers encouraged to dress as brightly as their imaginations allow!
The Twilight Colourthon
This 10k walk is open to over-16s and sets off at the same time as the Moonlight Colourthon.
Both the Twilight and Moonlight Walks set off from Chalkwell Park at 8pm and take in the waterfront along Southend seafront and Westcliff's picturesque cliff tops before travelling through the exclusive Chalkwell Hall Estate, past Old Leigh village with its quaint cottages and fishermen's sheds before returning back through Leigh itself, finishing back at Chalkwell Park.
