Diabetes UK is pleased to offer you this exhilarating and unique experience of zipping 230m across the river Tyne.
The zip slide starts from the Newcastle side of the bridge and travels diagonally across the River Tyne, finishing at HMS Calliope on the Gateshead side.
We are looking for individuals or teams to participate in a zip slide from the dazzling height of the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle.
Important Note: Minimum age is 16, and participants between 16 and 18 must have parental consent (this is a restriction placed on the event by Newcastle City Council).
Your £35 entry fee (TBC) covers the cost of staging the event and is non-refundable. This will ensure that all sponsor money you raise will go towards diabetes research.
To take part we ask each adventurer to raise as much money as possible. Sponsorship can be sent to the office after the event.
To register for this challenge please visit this website, complete the booking form and then let us know you have regsitered. We can then send you out a sponsorship pack and give you some helpful hints and tips.
