To give you a taster, here is an overview of the topics covered:

  • An introduction to safeguarding
  • A brief outline of relevant legislation
  • Recognising and responding to abuse
  • Diabetes UK’s Code of Behaviour
  • Diabetes UK’s procedures. For example, photography, reporting concerns, appropriate staffing ratios, etc.

The training can be tailored to your specific needs and requirements, and time is always allowed to discuss any particular questions or queries you may have.

Please note: If you are taking responsibility for unaccompanied children/vulnerable adults (i.e. if parents/carers are not present for all, or part of, the event) then Diabetes UK safeguarding training is compulsory.
