Singer Melanie C is a passionate supporter of our work for children with diabetes. Her brother has Type 1 diabetes, and she has seen how it can affect people early in life.
My brother has Type 1 diabetes so I know how important it is to manage the condition properly. I’ve heard stories from young people about how they’ve been teased, left out of things and even bullied, all because they have diabetes.
Melanie supported our Children’s Charter campaign which aimed to gain better care and support for children with Diabetes.
Melanie has also chosen Diabetes UK to be one of the beneficiaries of her annual charity calendar.
