Sir Steve Redgrave CBE

Sir Steve Redgrave CBE - Diabetes UK supporter

Diabetes UK supporter Sir Steve Redgrave CBE

Sir Steve Redgrave CBE was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 1997, and has since become a source of inspiration for many people with the condition.

Steve is Honorary Vice President of Diabetes UK. He helps raise awareness of the seriousness of the condition and supports campaigns such as Diabetes Week and World Diabetes Day.

Steve has won many honours in his sport, including six Olympic medals – the famous five Golds and an often forgotten Bronze in the Coxed Pairs in 1988.

There is no reason why you still can't achieve your dreams but it does take a lot of patience to work out the right routine. I decided very early on that diabetes was going to live with me, not me live with diabetes.
