Stephen Dixon - Diabetes UK supporter

Diabetes UK supporter Stephen DixonSky News presenter Stephen Dixon has Type 1 diabetes. He was diagnosed at the age of 17.

Following his diagnosis, Stephen was advised to take a year out of school:

The school felt that I wouldn't be on top form for sitting my exams, but I was keen to carry on: I'd just been given my provisional place at university. I'm a great believer in getting on with things.

Stephen has since reported on many high-profile stories for Sky News in a pressured environment, whilst successfully managing his diabetes.
