Do people in your area get enough test strips to manage their diabetes?

You can ask decision makers to make sure that people where you live have access to the blood glucose monitoring test strips they need.

Diabetes UK's new report shows that some people with diabetes are not getting prescribed as many test strips as they need for effective self management. The report includes 'calls to action' for decision makers.

Ask decision-makers in your area to take action on test strips access.

Please send this letter to your Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG): Test strips enquiry letter template (Word, 22KB)

You can find contact details for your CCG here. You can include your own experience of test strips. This letter asks them to share their policy on prescribing test strips with you and asks them what they are planning on doing about the issues raised in the report.
