Campaign

Diabetes Week 2008

Campaign… because diabetes is serious

Help people with diabetes in the UK to get the care they deserve by campaigning.

Call for a reduction in the number of emergency hospital admissions for people with diabetes

Diabetes UK will be raising the issue of emergency hospital admissions due to diabetes in the four parliaments (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales).

Call for the NHS not to make cuts in care for people with diabetes

Diabetes UK in England will be raising the issue of cuts to specialist diabetes services, such as a reduction in the number of diabetes specialist nurses, in parliament during Diabetes Week. There will also be a campaign to urge primary care organisations to meet retinal screening targets.
