Information and advice
If a voluntary group issues information or advice that is inaccurate, misleading or detrimental to the wellbeing of the person seeking advice, they may leave themselves or Diabetes UK liable to litigation or accusations of neglect or other issues. It is advisable to check all queries with Diabetes UK, Central Office in London, or with the local Regional Manager.
If any voluntary group releases information regarding diabetes or the Association to the public or media, this should be checked first with the Central Office. Inaccurate statistics or inaccurate information may leave the voluntary group or Association open to accusations of misrepresenting our members and/ or neglect.
