Fundraising advice

Corporate sponsorship

One of the most successful fundraisers in recent years sold space on their Diabetes UK running vest to companies in the local area where he used to train.  This was great PR for the companies that sponsored him as he was featured briefly on the television.  More importantly local businesses benefited from the immediate publicity offered by the runner on his regular training route.

Diabetes facts and stats

Throughout the weeks we will provide you with some statistics and information about diabetes to help your fundraising message have a greater impact

This week:  More people die from diabetes and its complications than from breast and prostate cancer combined

Gift Aid

On the sponsorship forms and on the online donations, your supporters will be asked if they would like to Gift Aid their donation. Please ensure that as many people as possible tick the Gift Aid box plus give their full name and address (postcodes are essential) as it allows us to claim an extra 25p for every pound raised. It doesn’t cost your supporters any extra to Gift Aid their donation.
