Fundraising advice

Think creatively

If you don't like asking for money face to face, there are alternative ways of approaching your fundraising.  Why not organise your own event at work, club or school/university?  For example: bad hair day, blind date evening, sports tournament, record breaking attempt, fancy dress/dress down day.

If you choose to run your own event and would like helping promoting it, we can help support you by sending branded posters, stickers, balloons and other such branded items.  Just let us know what you need.

Diabetes facts and stats

Throughout the weeks we will provide you with some statistics and information about diabetes to help your fundraising message have a greater impact

This week:  The cost of diabetes to the NHS is £i million  an hour.

Gift Aid

On the sponsorship forms and on the online donations, your supporters will be asked if they would like to Gift Aid their donation. Please ensure that as many people as possible tick the Gift Aid box plus give their full name and address (postcodes are essential) as it allows us to claim an extra 25p for every pound raised. It doesn’t cost your supporters any extra to Gift Aid their donation.
