Equality & Diversity Volunteer

About the Equality and Diversity Team

The Equality and Diversity aims to improve cultural competence within the organisation, increase awareness of diabetes and Diabetes UK amongst diverse communities through training people to be Diabetes Community Champions, increase involvement of diverse communities throughout the organisation and to provide culturally specific information about diabetes to bring about greater partnership working with relevant local and national organisations and community groups.

Main elements of volunteer role:

•  Assist the Equality and Diversity team in making phone calls, emails and sending letters
• Updating content on the Equality and Diversity intranet page (training provided).
• Ordering materials
• Assist the Equality and Diversity team in updating monthly Campaigns, Volunteer Hours, Events and Literature spreadsheets.
• Updating  content and pictures on web pages (training provided)

We are looking for a volunteer who is able to commit one day per week

Lunch and travel expenses within a 30 mile radius will be paid
