No Diabetes UK voluntary group in your area? Why not think about starting a group?
At the heart of our mission
Voluntary groups are at the heart of Diabetes UK's mission to improve the lives of people living with diabetes and to work towards a future without diabetes. If you decide to set up a Diabetes UK voluntary group, you will be joining a network of nearly 400 groups, all run by volunteers, dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes in their local area.
Groups for all ages
We have groups for adults with diabetes as well as groups for children and young people with diabetes.

Hard work – but rewarding
Running a group can be hard work but it can also be a very rewarding experience. You can focus on things that interest you – whether that's fundraising, awareness-raising, campaigning or offering support. Some groups are small and informal, some are large groups – and there's everything in between.
