Welcome to the fifth edition of Involve, Diabetes UK’s newsletter for volunteers.  In this issue we announce the winners of the 2012 National Inspire Awards, update you on some changes in the central volunteering development team, and tell you how you can order all our materials. We're also running a competition for you to name a roadshow bus!

The National Inspire Awards

The 2012 Inspire Awards highlighted the fantastic work our volunteers do across the country. From convincing the Northern Ireland Assembly to better support children with type 1 diabetes or raising awareness of type 2 diabetes in minority communities - to jumping out of aeroplanes and baking cakes to raise vital finds! >>

Name a Roadshow Bus!

The roadshow buses have been travelling up and down the country raising awareness of Type 2 diabetes for over four years, yet our three lovely roadshow buses don’t have a name! Do you have any suggestions? >>

How do I recieve a copy of Involve?

Involve is sent to all Diabetes UK volunteers. If you are a volunteer with Diabetes UK and you have not recieved a copy, please get in touch with the Volunteer Development Team by email volunteering@diabetes.org.uk or phone 020 7424 1000.

Is Involve available in alternative formats?

Involve is sent to all Diabetes UK volunteers by email. If you don't use email we will post you a copy. It is also available in large print and audio versions. If you would like to recieve Involve in a different format, please contact the Volunteer Development Team by email volunteering@diabetes.org.uk or phone 020 7424 1000.
