We have set up text to donate facilities to make it easier for those who wish to donate money via their mobile phone. This provides a simple way to give small sums to charity.
All you have to do is text the word "DUK" to 70300.
The donation level is set at £5.
You will receive a "thank you" text message which will explain how your mobile network will deduct the amount from your mobile phone account and pay that amount less the network’s fees (if any) to Diabetes UK.
When we send a reply message we will also provide a link to a mobile internet site where you can complete a Gift Aid declaration (if applicable). This allows us to claim an additional 25% of the money donated. For example, a £5 donation with gift aid is worth £6.25 to Diabetes UK.
