Annual review

Annual review for residents of care homes

Residents of care homes will have the same annual review as those living in their own homes.

You can find out more about annual reviews in the Diabetes care and you section

Older people may have different targets than those often published to avoid problems with hypoglycaemia.

Each area will make its own arrangements, so some people will go to a surgery or hospital clinic, others may find the doctor and other specialist visit the home.

Check resident's arrangement

It is important to check this out when first becoming a resident.

Although there are some people who will be exluded from the retinal screening programme, all the other parts of the review should be carried out.
