What's in a portion?

To get an idea of whether you are eating foods from the five food groups in the right proportions have a look at how much of these foods you normally eat and see how it compares.  Remember that everyone’s nutritional needs are different and you may need more less portions than those suggested. 

Remember…if you are trying to lose weight the sizes of your portions may need to change…check for more specific advice with your dietician.
