How to perform the Touch the Toes test

How to perform the Touch the Toes test

If it is poorly controlled, diabetes can cause nerve damage, or neuropathy. The Touch the Toes test is an easy way to assess the feeling in your feet. Here, Dr Gerry Rayman – who designed the test with his team at Ipswich hospital – demonstrates how to carry it out.

Please note that the Touch the Toes test is not a substitute for your annual foot review, which should be carried out by an appropriately trained person.
