Looking after your feet
Don’t expose your feet to extremes of heat or cold.
Make sure you wear shoes and socks that are not too tight.
Check your feet daily (see Danger signs to look out for).
Wash your feet every day with ordinary soap and warm water. Dry them carefully – especially between the toes.
For dry skin use a moisturising cream but never use between your toes.
Cut your toenails to the shape of the end of your toes about once in every six to eight weeks.
Always wear footwear – even at home. It can be possible to damage your feet without knowing.
