• 850,000 people live in the UK with undiagnosed diabetes, and a significant proportion of those are working-age professionals.
• 4.9% of the UK workforce have diabetes.
• 25% of the workforce are at significant risk of developing the condition in the future.
• 60% of cases of Type 2 diabetes could have been prevented by making healthy lifestyle choices.

The Healthy Lifestyle Roadshow identifies people who are at risk of developing the condition and empower them to avoid diabetes where possible.

A significant number of people with undiagnosed diabetes are working full-time, and rarely have the time, inclination or awareness to visit their GP for a diabetes check.

We urgently need to deliver more diabetes risk assessments to employees in more companies. We must also support those at high risk of developing diabetes to avoid the condition by making simple, healthy lifestyle choices.
