Where does my membership and donation go?
Diabetes UK does not receive Government funding and is solely reliant on supporter contributions. All donations go towards helping to continue our research work, campaigning or other support work. We are one of the UK's largest funders dedicated to diabetes research, with an annual research budget of around £5 million. Scientists agree that research will lead to a cure for diabetes and recent breakthroughs suggest we may be closer than we thought. Funds from membership are pooled back into membership.
