Roadshow
Measure Up London spring 2008
The Diabetes UK Measure Up London Roadshow was a fantastic success. We visited 5 locations in London throughout March & April and tested over 2000 at risk visitors.
The Roadshow played a vital role in highlighting the risk factors of Type 2 diabetes and encouraging those at risk to get tested.
At each Roadshow at least one visitor had to be directed to go straight to A & E after receiving worryingly high blood glucose results. This highlights what a significant role the 'Measure Up' Roadshow has played in helping people to identify the condition and preventing further complications.

A mela is a festival that brings together people from different South Asian communities to celebrate all aspects of Asian history and culture. They are a lively mix of music, film, food, fashion and culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Diabetes UK to reach the South Asian Community where the prevalence of diabetes is up to four times higher, with as many as 20% of the South Asian population having the condition.
