The role of Diabetes UK's regional offices is to influence healthcare provision and improve services for people with diabetes at a local level, together with raising awareness and funds for diabetes and Diabetes UK.
Almost 150,000 people in the East Midlands have been diagnosed with diabetes and up to 75,000 other people may have the condition but not know it.
Since our launch in 2005, our East Midlands office has provided local information, advice and support for people with diabetes, healthcare professionals and government agencies.
