Volunteering

Diabetes UK Eastern

Help make a difference to the lives of 2.6 million people living with diabetes.

Our 10,000+ volunteers are at the heart of Diabetes UK. Without this support, Diabetes UK could not carry out its vital work in research, education and care.

Our volunteers bring skills, experience, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to Diabetes UK. And volunteering can make a difference in your life too, letting you meet new people, learn new skills and have fun.

You can find out about all of our voluntary activities in our main Volunteering section, or if you would like further details about volunteering in the Eastern region, please contact our Volunteer Development Officer on 01376 505241 or email sam.morris@diabetes.org.uk.

Volunteering in your region

You might also be interested in volunteering on a local level by supporting your regional office. The Eastern regional office holds many fundraising and awareness events and we are always looking for people to help and support our work. If you would like to make a difference and get involved then contact us to find out more.

Volunteer news

We will be producing an e-newsletter to go out to all volunteers within the region during 2010, if you would like to receive this please contact the Volunteer Development Officer on sam.morris@diabetes.org.uk.

We are always looking for your volunteering stories to include, so get in touch and tell us about your activities/events, fundraising success, campaigning achievements and more. The best stories will be published in our e-newsletter.

Voluntary groups and volunteer training

In this section you can also find out about Diabetes UK voluntary groups in your area, and the training on offer to all our volunteers.
