About us - Midlands & East of England

Diabetes UK Midlands and East of England is made up of a team of staff plus networks of volunteers and local groups. We work at a local level responding to local needs.

As a region, we cover a 10 million population, with over 700,000 people diagnosed with diabetes. We work closely with key decision makers in the Midlands and East of England to make sure that diabetes is at the top of the local health agenda. This includes: a number of 17 Integrated Care Boards (ICB), NHS & Public Health England from the East and West Midlands and East of England, and thousands of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

We work with our Diabetes UK Local Groups and amazing volunteers. This helps us deliver many successes in improving care, raising awareness, volunteering and fundraising.
