Helen Pattie and Julie Byron - North West Regional Manager (Job Share)
Julie and Helen job-share as Regional Manager, managing a small but dynamic team. Helen works Mon– Wed, and Julie works Wed– Fri, with some flexibility. Their key role is to influence standards of healthcare for people with diabetes and work with service users. This includes working closely with the 35 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and the 24 Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) across the region and working more closely in targeted areas. Organising training and networking opportunities, as well as conferences and events for people with diabetes and healthcare professionals, are also important parts of Helen and Julie’s role. Lesley Challoner - Regional Support Officer
Lesley is our Regional Support Officer and has been with Diabetes UK for twelve years. She is our fountain of knowledge and is responsible for the smooth running of the North West office. Lesley also organises and manages the care events and conferences (both for healthcare professionals and people with diabetes) and many awareness events. Jo Cunnah - Volunteer Development Officer
Jo is our Volunteer Development Officer, responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers throughout the North West Region. She also supports our fabulous Voluntary Groups, manages the Roadshows and is responsible for organising the Regional Volunteer Conference in the North West to be held on 10th November this year. Jessica Graham - Volunteer Development Support Officer
Jessica is our Volunteer Development Support Officer. As part of her role Jessica provides administrative support, is responsible for updating the volunteering section of our website and is the first point of contact for volunteers and Voluntary Groups. Kate McKie - Fundraising Manager
Kate is our Fundraising Manager and is very excited about the fundraising plans for 2012. Kate is responsible for all areas of fundraising including coordinating events, supporting fundraisers and looking for new opportunities to raise funds. Maria Roberts - Fundraising Administrator
Maria Roberts is the North West Fundraising Administrator. Maria works on all North West fundraising events, supporting our individual fundraisers, volunteers and voluntary groups. Elaine has recently started in the new post of Regional Media Officer.
