Martin Quigley became the first person to be awarded with a gold pin badge for his outstanding effort. He was able to bring in over £2,000 in sponsorship. Martin has had Type 1 diabetes since he was diagnosed in 1995. He doesn't let that stop him as he pursues his goals. A talented singer, Martin performs Neil Diamond songs and annually hosts a concert in aid of Diabetes UK. He also ran the Great North Run in 2008 for us.
