Roadshow
Diabetes UK Scotland
The Diabetes UK 'Measure Up' Roadshow 2007 was a great success, visiting 21 locations across Britain, testing 6,741 at-risk visitors and handing out nearly 20,000 goodie bags.
Raising awareness
The Roadshow, which finished for 2007 on 22 November, raised awareness of Type 2 diabetes and encouraged people to be tested for the condition.
The campaign was launched at the end of August 2007 and received strong celebrity support.

A vital role
Ben Holdstock, Senior Roadshow Organiser, said: "At least one visitor from each roadshow location had been directed to Accident & Emergency after receiving shockingly high blood glucose readings."
This highlights what a significant role the 'Measure Up' Roadshow has played in helping people to identify the condition and preventing further complications.
