About us

We are a small team of 8 based in Taunton who are here to help you on a more local level. 

We cover the following areas

• Cornwall

• Dorset
• Gloucestershire

• Bath and North East Somerset

• South Gloucestershire.
   

Our aim in the South West Region

• Raise awareness of diabetes so that people know how to care for themselves, what care to expect and how Diabetes UK can support them.
• Help give people with diabetes a voice so that they can influence their local services
• Work with local healthcare professionals and local health service providers to promote the continual improvement in service for all people with diabetes
• Work with our 31 Voluntary Groups in the South West Region
• Support our many individual Volunteers and Fundraisers across the South West Region who campaign, fundraise or support people with diabetes
• Raising vital funds for research into the causes of diabetes to work towards a future without diabetes.
