Walks
Diabetes UK South West
Walking is a great way of combining gentle exercise with raising much-needed funds to help people with diabetes.
Walk in the Park is our long-standing and hugely successful series of sponsored walks held in parks across the UK. These usually take place from late spring, and throughout the summer.
We have also introduced other walks to our fundraising events programme, to offer a variety of ways to get walking in support of Diabetes UK.
If no forthcoming events are listed below, please check back later - new events are added regularly.

Autumn Colour Walks
Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 October 2008
Enjoy the beauty of the South West and raise funds for Diabetes UK by taking part in one of our sponsored Autumn Colour Walks at one of three beautiful gardens.
Saturday 25 October
- Batsford Arboretum, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire
Sunday 26 October
- RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, North Devon
- Mount Edgcumbe, Cremyll, Torpoint, Cornwall
There is no entry fee to take part but we do ask that you raise a minimum of £10 to help cover our costs.
Each venue will have a colouring competition and leaf trail for children and at Rosemoor there is a Woodland Craft Day and a Pumpkin Day which will include various demonstrations such as hurdle making, charcoal burning and willow weaving and in preparation for Halloween you can try some pumpkin delicacies in the restaurant, follow the Pumpkin Trail and take part in the national Big Draw event by drawing pumpkins.
There is no start time for the walks although we would ask that you try to complete it between the hours of 11.00am and 4.00pm.
For more information on each of the gardens and to register please download the registration form on the right hand side stating which walk you would like to take part in and return it to us by Monday 20 October. We will then send you an information pack which will include sponsorship forms.
Please feel free to download the poster and advertise the Autumn Colour Walks in your local area.
