Welcome to South West News, the regional newsletter for the South West.
Spring 2010 Issue
Welcome to the Spring edition of South West News.
2010 is going to be an exciting and challenging year with lots happening in the region. The Roadshows have returned with 14 venues - see the front page for venues and dates.
We have some staff changes with Paula Wilson joining the team. Paula is covering the role of the Regional Support Officer while Zoë Steer covers the role as Regional Fundraising Manager. Graham Cooper acts as Regional Manager until a new appointment is made.
We also have lots of great fundraising events happening such as the South West Coast Path Challenge, Golf day, Walk the Extra Mile and fundraisers such as Kev Yates and Stuart Morrissey aka Honey Monster and Madrider1961 who have set themselves the challenge to ride from Taunton to Wales, visiting as many of the 427 Welsh Castles as possible on their motor bikes in seven days.
There is something for everyone so please get involved and help us make diabetes a thing of the past.
If you would like to arrange a fundraising event then please let us know so that we can support you.
There is also news from our Voluntary Groups and an overview of our new organisational objectives from the Director of England, Jan Suchacki.
