Healthy Lifestyle Roadshow 2012
Almost 1,000 people visited our Healthy Lifestyle Roadshow for a free Type 2 diabetes risk assessment during its travels across Wales in 2012.
A total of 995 people were assessed for their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes in the next 10 years.
More than half - 549 people - were found to be at moderate or high risk and were referred to their GP for a diabetes test.
Between July and November, the roadshow visited Neath, Wrexham, Llanelli, Blackwood, Cardiff and Cwmbran to offer assessments, dietary and lifestyle advice and free fruit to every visitor.
