Help make a difference to the lives of 173,000 people living with diabetes in Wales.
Our volunteers are at the heart of Diabetes UK Cymru. Without this support, Diabetes UK Cymru could not carry out its vital work.
Our volunteers bring skills, experience, commitment and enthusiasm to Diabetes UK. Volunteering can introduce you to new people, help you develop new skills and have fun.
Diabetes UK Cymru offers a range of voluntary opportunities. You can help us in the following roles:
Tesco Big Collection Volunteer
Take part in the UK’s biggest bucket collection on 13th, 14th &15th June at this year’s Big Collection. Click here for more details and to sign up at a store near you.
You will be trained to use the Diabetes Risk Score at our road shows and organised events, which will allow you to assess members of the public on their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and signpost them to relevant advice and services. Click here for information on the next training session.
Become an events volunteer to represent us at events in your area. We will give you everything you need to speak confidently about our services and what we do.
If you would like to campaign for better services for people with diabetes in your area then become a Diabetes Voice. Click here for more information.
Supporting your Local Group will involve raising awareness, campaigning and providing support to people living with diabetes. We have both adult and family groups across Wales . Click here to see whether there is a local group in your area, if not then why not get in touch and start one?
