Insulin absorption

Insulin can be absorbed at different rates from the various injection sites. As a rule, it’s absorbed more quickly from the stomach and arms, and more slowly from the bottom and thigh. Avoid injecting into an area that will be used immediately for activity because this will speed up the action of insulin and make a hypo more likely. For instance, don’t inject their leg just before they go out and play football – inject somewhere like their tummy instead.
