Eating out

Having diabetes does not mean that you can't eat out. But food in restaurants tends to be higher in fat and salt and lower in fibre than its home-made equivalent.

Here are some tips to help you chose the lower-fat options on the menu of the most popular restaurants:

  • The Chippy
  • Burger Chains
  • Pizza parlours
  • Chinese cuisine
  • Indian cuisine
