My life young adults

Telling people

You should tell your flat-mates or close neighbours about your diabetes, in case you need help with hypos.

If you’re a student in halls, you could also let the Night Porters or Halls Wardens know so they are able to deal with any emergency that might happen.

If you’re going to be living alone, it might be worth having some way of someone checking you’re OK, whether that’s a regular call to / from a friend / relative or asking your new neighbours to keep an eye out for you.
