Background
The Diabetes UK Annual Professional Conference (APC) 2008 was the only event in the UK that was organised exclusively for the education of more than 3,000 healthcare professionals working in the field of diabetes. The conference has also been an invaluable tool for sharing best practice and networking.
The conference was multi-tracked to allow delegates to maximise their learning needs and professional development. The scientific programme ran parallel lectures divided into six tracks:
- basic science
- clinical science
- four clinical care tracks, including a focused primary care track on the Thursday.
