Aims
Our Diabetes Qualifications are based on the International Diabetes Foundation Curriculum. Learners can take individual modules, combine three modules to complete a Postgraduate Certificate, or complete all six modules to achieve the Postgraduate Diploma. We have six online courses, each lasting 10 weeks. These courses can be studied individually or learners can complete three in year one to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate and three in year two to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma.

Venue
Introductory lectures will be held in Dubai, UAE and Leicester, UK in April and September 2013.
Length
Each module lasts for 10 weeks.
To achieve the Postgraduate Diploma you will need to successfully complete all of the following six courses, usually over a 2 year period. The Postgraduate Certificate is achieved over a 1-year period.
Costs
- Individual modules: £930 per module
- Postgraduate certificate: £2595 for 3 modules
- Postgraduate diploma: £5,190 for 6 modules
Type of study
Online distance learning course. Learners are divided into groups of 12–13 with a dedicated tutor who is a clinical expert in the field of diabetes.
Entry criteria
We welcome applications from candidates anywhere in the world and from any area of the multidisciplinary team. We currently have doctors, nurses, podiatrists, dieticians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals studying with us. Candidates possess an initial medical or nursing degree or a degree in a related clinical subject.

How achievement is assessed
Learners will be assessed continuously as they progress through each course on the following areas:
- Their contribution to online discussions
- Their reflective journal
- 1,000 word assignment
- An online examination (MCQs) consisting of a series of case problems
