Aims:

The course covers both intensive insulin programmes (such as DAFNE) and pump therapy. It also addresses emerging technologies such as real time monitoring, intelligent pumps and closed loop systems. The module is targetted at clinical teams who are either developing or who have developed intensive insulin or pump therapy prgrammes. This course is open to all professions. The course has been developed by an internationally recognised team of clinicains and researchers including Professor Amiel and Professor Pickup.

Teaching methods:

Mixture of classroom lectures, group work and discussions and on line learning including reading, case studies, question and answer sessions and on line discussion forums.
