Aims:

On successful completion of this n module the student will be expected to be able to :

  1. Critally apply in-depth knowledge of physiology and payhology surrounding diabetes mellitus.
  2. Select , implement and critically evalaute the effectiveness of evidence based care for the person with diabetes and his/ her family.
  3. Crtically review the impact of the interprofessional team in the care of the client with diabetes and his/her family.
  4. Reflect upon their role and evaluate their own evidence based practice in order to develop quality diabetes care , incorporating a critical review of the application of specified con mpetencies to clinical practice.

Health care professionls caring for people with diabetes.

Places available:

30 per cohort. Four deliveries per yer.
Two deliveries in each September and two deliveries in each January

How achievement is assessed:

6000 Word essay. An alysis of the care given by the student to a person with diabetes within the student care setting.

Lecture, lesson, discussion,prcatical, use of on-line resources
