The CCG has identified foot care for people with diabetes as a key challenge and a priority area for improvement. As a result of this they have undertaken a programme of work to redesign their foot care pathways to bring local services in-line with NICE guidance.

Through the Improving Local Services Together Project Diabetes UK have worked with Herts Valleys to hold two patient engagement events, giving people with diabetes the opportunity to influence how the new care pathways will look. The findings of the events are available on the CCG website. We will now be exploring ways of helping the CCG to improve the engagement of young people with diabetes.
